Up for sale is a vintage 1950-60s Bavarian porcelain set. This 16 piece set was made by Gareis Porzellan of Bavaria. It consists of 6 tea cups, 7 saucers, a sugar bowl, sugar bowl lid, and creamer. The interiors are a beautiful milky white porcelain. The exteriors are finished in a silver luster. The luster has worn off in some areas of most pieces. It is still none the less outstanding. The silver luster has developed a great patina that makes it seem even more iridescent, especially gorgeous in the sunlight. Be sure to look at the embossed details of the porcelain - gorgeous! There are no cracks, chips, or hairlines. The cups measure 2 1/2" tall, 4" in diameter, and are 4 7/8" across the handle. Each cup holds 6 oz. The saucers are 6" in diameter. The creamer is 3 1/2" tall at the spout, 3 1/4" tall at the handle, is 3 1/4" in diameter, and is 4 5/8" across the handle to spout. It holds 6 oz. The sugar bowl and lid measure about 4 3/8" tall with the lid, 2 5/8" without the lid, 3" tall at the handles 5 3/4" across the handles and is 3 7/8" in diameter. It holds 8oz.
