Up for sale is a beautiful, vintage Fiesta Kitchen Kraft Covered Jar in the RED glaze. The jar is the large one, 27 1/2" in circumference and approximately 7" tall. Items in the Fiesta Kitchen Kraft line were produced from 1938 to the mid 1940's. It is in remarkable condition for a piece its age. We tend to be overly critical of every piece we sell. As to the flaws: On the wiped foot, there is a chip less about 3/4", it cannot be detected when the jar is upright and has no effect on its stability (no rocking). There is a chip at the bottom side at the foot that is about 1/4". If placed to the back you wouldn't see it. There are few minute scratches on the outside that are probably from bumping into something else. On the inside rim of the jar, there are a few minor pin point (the size of a pin) glaze flea bites where the two pieces rub against each other and one chip on the inside rim where it can't be seen about 1/2". The lid has no issues. No other noted cracks, chips or hairlines. The lady whom we bought this from used it constantly since the day she bought it new! She told us at one point she had 4 covered jars that were always full of cookies! For being utilized for so many years it is in remarkable shape - makes you wonder how many dozen cookies it ever held throughout the past 52 - 69 years!
