WILLIE GRACE
Born: June 30, 1918, Meridian Miss.
Died: Nov. 18, 2006, Erie, PA
Willie played for the CLEVELAND BUCKEYES from
1942-50, and in the 1945 World Series against the Homestead Grays, he batted .313 and contributed a home run. 
He was named the team MVP in 1946 and was a member of the Buckeye’s 1947 Negro League World Series team.
Willie went on to play for the Houston Eagles and in the Middle Atlantic League.
