Here we have another of my hand made creations! A newly finished counted cross stitch Christmas Stocking that I completed for this year (2008).
Many happy hours of stitching went into this piece. It features a lovely victorian girl ice skating. She has a pink mauve coat over her green dress and she has long white ice skates. There are metallic gold accents on her clothing as well as metallic gold snowflakes all around. She has curly red/brown hair and she's wearing a large bonnet with a flowing ribbon.
Stitched on 14 ct white aida cloth with a red felt backing. It is also lined with pellon on the stitching side, so there will not be any loose threads when you put your hand (or gifts) inside. It has a red felt loop hanger. Stocking not counting hanger measures just over 17" long diagonally. Attached to the hanger is a red felt tag that you can personalize (this is easily done with fabric paint or embroidery).
Spot or dry clean only.
