Apple Face Salt & Pepper Shakers

One set of very unique collectible salt & pepper shakers. They are an apple with an old fashioned looking doll face. I believe its an apple, its red on the botton and green by where the stem would be) Made of ceramic or similiar material-not plastic. Vintage looking-I have no idea about their actual age.
Cork Stoppers intact & made in Japan.
In good condition, no major flaws  but they show wear on the paint.
They are approx. 2" tall and 1.5" in diameter.
