The "Arkansas Chugga-Bug" #8
This is a model cel height comparison cel used by the different animation units working on this cartoon series. In order to make the different segment that were created separately, the Animation units had to be working from the same "model cel" in order to be consistence. This beautify painted cel is of a the RARE characters plus the vehicle, which I've never seen before.

This beautify painted cel is of a the RARE character Clyde who was the spokesman and leader of the Ant Hill Mob who drove a Gangster Car #7.

This is a model cel height comparison cel used by the different animation units working on this cartoon series. In order to make the different segment that were created separately, the Animation units had to be working from the same "model cel" in order to be consistence. This beautify painted cel is of a the RARE character of Big Gruesome and Lil' Gruesome driving the Haunted House  #2.

 
 
 
 
Each Cel size is 12 x 10 inches with no background. Cel is clear (you can see through it) other then the hand painted characters on the cel. Piece is in Good to Excellent condition which would be consistent with a cel of 35+ years of vintage. The series was produced in 1968 and in fact that is the production date on the cel. Wacky Racers cels are VERY, VERY Rare.
 
Prolific producers William Hanna and Joseph Barbera continued their run of classic cartoons with the 1960's television series "WACKY RACES". Inspired by car-chase movies THE GREAT RACE and THOSE MAGNIFICENT MEN IN THEIR FLYING MACHINES, the animated series follows the adventures of a group of eccentric characters in equally outlandish automobiles as they compete in a no-holds-barred, cross-country motor race.
 
Leading the pack are the fiendish Dick Dastardly and his canine sidekick Muttley, whose all-encompassing bid for victory involves underhand tactics such as oil slicks and detours.  Only 34 episodes where made, so there's NOT a lot of production artwork that was ever created for this series. These images were original created by Production Designer, Jerry Eisenberg.
