Here for your consideration is this very interesting WOODEN BOWL WITH RAISED CENTER AND TOPPED WITH BRASS PIECE. I am not sure what the funtion of this bowl is; possibly a nut or pipe bowl? It measures 7-3/4" in diameter and is 1-3/4" deep and the wood has a beautiful patina. The bowl is slightly out of round and higher on the ends which is indicative of being hand made. It is engraved in the bottom in very tiny letters: MADE IN OCCUPIED JAPAN.
VERY NICE VINTAGE CONDITION WITH NO CRACKS. There are a couple spots on the side of the rim that are very minor dings and possibly a stain or two from use, but in no way affects the beauty or vintage appeal of this antique bowl. (see pictures)
