Free Form Root Carving of the Rama & Sinta Love Story
This style often incorporating people, animals, demons and plants carved out of the twists and turns, often almost hidden, of the branches or roots of Jepun Bali, a variety of frangipani, which is often used. This is one of the innovative modern styles that was influenced by such artist as Spies & Bonnet. It Originated from the Teges area. And only a few carvers carve in this style. They are original one of a kind works, not mass produced product.

This particular sculpture depicts the story of the Ramayana, the epic Hindu love story of Rama & Sinta.
The work is done with much sensitivity. It is truly amazing the way the artist Pak Agung has incorporated the natural shape of the frangipani root into his work. The thought and time that went into this unique carving are great. Rama is holding a bow in one hand and an arrow in the other. He has a finely detailed collar around his neck, and a very detailed belt on his waist, which can be viewed from the front and also across his back. Sinta is draped in flowing robes with her left arm held up over her head, with two fingers held up.
The Branch facing the couple is carved into a tree, with a bird resting on the top most branch. Beneath the tree, a Naga or Dragon is carved, he has flames shooting from his mouth. The scales on his body are carved, and he is wearing a intricately carved headdress on his head.

If you plan on purchasing more than one item, just let us know and we will wait until you are done shopping to combine your invoice. All items combined must be purchased with a 7 day period. You may combine up to 5 items.
SHIPPING
We will ship your item with in 3 days of receiving a cleared payment. In most cases we will ship the same day payment clears. When we can, we ship USPS priority mail, cost includes confirmation/tracking number. Insurance is optional. If buyer opts out of optional insurance, the buyer assumes all responsibility for lose or damage while in transit. On larger pieces we use UPS as this is more cost effective for the buyer. When an item is shipped UPS shipping cost will include tracking and insurance.
PAYMENT
We accept Pay Pal, USPS money orders, If you are using money order as form of payment, please contact us first.
RETURNS
Any claims must be made with in 7 days of receiving your order. Please contact us first. Your item may be exchanged or you may opt for a refund less shipping and handling charges. Buyer is also responsible for any return shipping cost.
