Wind Thurman is a strong, honest, hard working black man who wants nothing more than to be left alone so he can tend his small farm in rural Georgia. The time is the late 1890s. Unfortunately, fate has other plans for him. Wind returns home early one morning from working the fields to discover his father brutally murdered. Several days later his mother meets the same grisly fate. Enraged by the senseless slaughter of his parents, he suspects the evil white shadow of the KKK at work, but the town sheriff is ambivalent at best and does not exert himself to apprehend the murderers. With the help of his friend and lawyer, wind decides to take the law into his own hands
