Barong Bankal
Barong Bankal is used in a ceremony called Ngelawang which is held on Galungan Day, which is celebrated every 210 days. For the Balinese Galungan Is the symbol of Dharma's victory of Adharma or good over evil.
Different villages use different types of Barong such Barong Macan that looks like a tiger. Barong Lumbu in the image of a cow. Barong Landung with the face of a human.
Galungan is a really festive event. All Temples and dwellings are decorated with colorful cloth and a special offering called Penjor. Which is crafted from a tall Bamboo pole decorated with the bountiful harvest of Bali, such as rice, fruits and flowers and colorful cakes made of rice. Then this is erected in front of all Temples and Homes.This penjor is a symbol of happiness in the Balinese culture.
The young men of the village will parade the Barong through the streets and stop in front of each house and bless each penjor for a small offering .

This Barong Bankal is
Not a mass produced Mask you so often find on the market today, but an authentic mask carved in the traditional manor.
The jaw is hinged and opens and closes. Hand Carved from pule wood. It is decorated with human hair. Painted in traditional Balinese style. The ears are removable.

SHIPPING
We will ship your item with in 3 days of receiving a cleared payment. In most cases we will ship the same day payment clears.When we can, we ship USPS priority mail, cost includes confirmation/tracking number. Insurance is optional. If buyer opts out of optional insurance, the buyer assumes all responsibility for lose or damage while in transit. On larger pieces we use UPS as this is more cost effective for the buyer. When an item is shipped UPS shipping cost will include tracking and insurance.
PAYMENT
We accept Pay Pal, USPS money orders, If you are using money order as form of payment, please contact us first.
RETURNS
Any claims must be made with in 7 days of receiving your order. Please contact us first. Your item may be exchanged or you may opt for a refund less shipping and handling charges. Buyer is also responsible for any return shipping cost.
