Please help our Church Mission Trip
 
In June our church, the Howe United Methodist Church, will be taking a group of 20-28 teenagers and adults to Jamaica for a Missions trip.
 
We will be spending 10 days in Black River conducting daily devotions at several area schools during the day.  In the afternoon, we will host two different Vacation Bible School’s at local churches.
 
Last summer was the first time I made this Missions Trip.  It was a wonderful experience.  Not only did we get to experience another culture and meet a lot of wonderful people.  We were able to help spread the Good News and give the children and adults an opportunity to open up and accept Jesus Christ into their lives.
 
Many people ask why we need to go so far away to help people when there are so many people in our own neighborhoods that need help too.  I also wondered that before I went on my first Mission Trip.  The best answer I can give is that we learn more about ourselves when we go away.  I spent just as much time watching the teenagers we brought  and seeing their reactions when they realized how well off we have it in America.
 
By going so far away, we not only help people that have very little and live in poverty that most of us can not even imagine, we also learn just as much about ourselves.  Opening up our hearts to unconditionally serve others without any of the prejudices that prevent us from helping others in our own community provide us with the grace and satisfaction that one only receives from truly giving without expecting anything in return.  By opening our hearts to this experience, we are better able to work on serving and helping others in our own community with the same attitude.
 
While we are able to live very frugally while we are there and keep our expenses low, it is still an expensive trip for many of us in our group.  The group consists mainly of teenagers with adult supervision.  The cost per person is $1,300.  We will have approximately 20 people going raising the cost to around $26,000.
 
Our church will be conducting a variety of fundraisers throughout the spring from bake sales and dinners, to selling flowers and teddy bears. 
 
We would like to appeal to the generosity of the eBay community to help us with our Mission Trip. For a donation of $25.00 (or more if you would like) I will send you a 4X6 picture of last years Jamaica Mission Trip.  In addition, during our weekly meetings our group will include you in our prayer time.  After we return from the trip we will either email or mail you a summery of the mission trip.

Shipping

We ship to the
USA only.  All shipping quotes are for the continental US only, please email for shipping cost to Hawaii and Alaska. Bids from other countries will not be accepted.  We will gladly combine orders to save on shipping. 

Payment 

We accept Paypal, money orders, and personal checks. If paid with a personal check or money order we will hold the goods until the check has cleared usually 3-5 days. 
All Indiana residents will be charged 6.00% sales tax during checkout.
Payment must be received 8 days after close of auction.  If payment isn't received within 8 days, the auction will be revoked and a Non-Paying Bidder alert will be filed.

MY AUCTION SOURCE ENTIRE LIABILITY TO YOU OR ANY THIRD PARTY UNDER CIRCUMSTANCE IS LIMITED TO THE SALE PRICE OF THE RELEVANT GOODS AND $100.  Some state do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.

Returns

We will accept return only if the item was not as described in the auction.  The buyer must return the item within 7 days to receive a full refund less shipping and handling charges.  The buyer is responsible for return shipping charges.  If you need to request a return please email info@myauctionsource.com.
